A large global appliance manufacturer wanted to move its HPC workloads from local on-premises machines into the cloud. Soak cycle for proof of concept

A seamless transition allowed the manufacturer to quickly deploy JARVICE XE and benefit from cloud infrastructure in various regions to unify its engineering workflows. With that, it was possible to control the engineering process and workflows through a single portal, which simplified the manufacturer’s software licensing.

Broad compatibility

For particle and element modeling analysis, the manufacturer uses Ansys Rocky to simulate the movement of laundry inside washing machines and dryers. Ansys Fluent optimizes water and air flow in these appliances. This is crucial for maximizing efficiency, reducing costs and ensuring high-performance laundry equipment.

Accessing both popular Ansys applications was also streamlined through HyperHub, JARVICE XE’s built-in HPC application marketplace.

Building on this successful POC, Nimbix delivered an advanced multi-tenant platform with a unified, single-pane-of-glass workspace, enabling seamless collaboration for global teams through a consistent, intuitive interface.

Engineering the future

With JARVICE XE, the manufacturer accomplished its goal of unifying engineers around the world. It established management tools for maintaining security and controlling costs. It also gained the flexibility to scale machine types to fit the workflows: smaller machines for Ansys Mechanical and large clusters for Ansys Fluent. GPU-enabled nodes allow pre- and post- processing on the cloud without having to move a significant amount of data.
