Eviden ePasslet Suite is a Java Card framework for electronic identity documents. It consists of a collection of Java Card applets, each implementing a specific eID functionality, enabling rapid realization of electronic passports, identity cards, driving licences, health cards, eIDAS-compliant signature cards, and custom national eID applications. The suite can be embedded in ROM or pre-installed in flash memory of Java Card-enabled smart cards and supports post-issuance activation of applets. An internal core library API provides functional blocks that reduce memory requirements and time to market. The framework runs on major Java Card operating systems and can be used on any GlobalPlatform-compliant executable Java Card.

ePasslet Suite can be delivered either embedded in ROM or pre-installed in flash memory on Java Card-enabled smart cards. Its modular architecture supports post-issuance applet activation and extension, while the internal core library API enables efficient development of new applets, reduces memory consumption, and accelerates time-to-market.

Edition 1 covers ICAO MRTD with BAC/PACE, ISO 7816 file system functionality, and ISO driving licence applications. Edition 2 adds EACv1/EAP-based document functions, digital signature capabilities (ePKI/SSCD), vehicle registration, health insurance, Match-on-Card biometrics, and FIDO2 authentication. Edition 3 extends the platform with bespoke eID applications, EACv2, EU Residence Permit, European Citizen Card, eIDAS token functionality, and additional national eID use cases.
